Pleasant hotel where staff, depite their lack of Engish, tried to everything they could to help.
Small rooms and pricey for what you get but that is a Swiss issue, not just this hotel.

The breakfast was very good compared to other places we had stayed in during our vacation - not the regular boring continental breakfast but rather one with eggs, baked beans, bacon, brioches (Croissants), vegtables etc. We have chosen this hotel because it is close to Locarno and we stayed during the moon and stars festival. We saw on the map that the distance from the hotel to the grand plaza (piazza di garni) is only two kilometers so we decided to go on foot from and back to the hotel and it took us only 20~ mins.
We were 3 persons (adults) and the room was quite small for us.also, for 300chf\ 240 Euros you can expect an air conditioned room, even in Europe.I Can understand why in festival times the prices were high but for the most expensive night in the trip, other than the Rovere we paid 140 Euros and this is quite a difference in prices.

Very friendly staff. Very good full break-fast (hot & continental). Simple, clean & comfortable rooms. Located in a very safe & residential environment.
Only a bit off from Lucarno & Ascona. Saying that it is well connected by bus. Takes 15 mins to Lucarno & Ascona without any problems. Could have been due to the seasonal demand, never-the-less, room tariff could be optimized as it was a bit on the higher side for this property.
